HRG and junior figure-skating championship in Pardubice

Junior figure-skating championship of the Czech Republic 2012 as well as championship of the Czech Republic 2012 in synchronized ice-skating took place in ČEZ Aréna in Pardubice. One part of the festive opening presented toss of sports groups that took part in Saturday‘s race. During the ceremonial a moderator of this event expressed thanks to all the partners who helped with preparation and realisation of this project. HRG was also among the named companies because we contributed to this event by a sponsor present to support this great sport.
Certification PEFC

Our company has been given a certification PEFC which enables us after fulfilling all the requirements considering purchase of certified paper to produce any printed matter with certificate PEFC.This certification ensures the customers that wood raw material used for production comes from the forests cultivated according important ecological and social rules of the organisation. PEFC wood certification represents one of the processes in the forestry aimed at keeping permanently sustainable development of forests in the Czech Republic and tries to improve all the forest functions considering the enviromental protection at the same time.
Its aims:
- support of permanently sustainable forest development
- support of wood consumption as an ecological renewable source and support of wooden products
- protection of nature and sustainable development of the society through realisation of Czech system of wood certification.
Ecological wrapping

At the beginning of this year we have put into operation a new strapping machine for strap wrapping. The packing is therefore more ecological, functional, recyclable and the amount of waste is minimal. Try something new!
New sales representative

Because of the constant demands of our sales representative Honza Kodýtek for other support of his team, so in the middle of January Julinka Kodýtková, 2,7 kg and 47 cm was born. She will start training by her father immediately after her release from hospital :-) Congratulations!
RSP System in HRG

At the end of year 2011 we bought a new technological device RSP (Rillen – Stanzen – Perforieren) which enables a range of possibilities concerning cuts and perforations directly in the printing machine. This system ensures an outstanding quality, accuracy, universality and speed.
HRGATY Limited edition

This year we have decided to devote our calendar and as well as our diary to a famous automobile racer Eliška Junková. Eliška was an extraordinary personality not only in a sports field but also her personal life was unusual. We were so amazed by her life that we decided to publish a limited edition HRGATY to show her individuality. Via regional museum in Vysoké Mýto we were able to contact her son Mr Vladimír Junek who provided us with a lot of photos and information about his mother which functioned as the main source for our project.

Why HRGATY?
It is not a faraway journey from Eliška Junková to Bugatti car which she used for racing. That is why we decided to use the pun HRGATY from the original word Bugatti. HRGATY is the name of our edition which can be divided into HRG & Ty (meaning HRG and You) That means that you will be every day in a calendar as well as in diary with H.R.G.company = HRG A TY (HRG and YOU)
Eliška Junková (16. 11. 1900 – 5. 1. 1994)
Eliška Junková was the Czech automobile racer of the previous century. During her short career 1924-1928 she won 24 races and did not finish the contests just twice. She was able to reach the speed up to 210km/hour on the stony telford pavement. Eliška Junková-Khásová belonged to the personalities in the Czech Republic who were persuaded that there were other humans who reached and sacrificed themselves more in their lives and she preferred their deeds to her own success achieved in sport competitions. She appreciated creative human qualities more than sporting achievements which just took a short time in her life.

As every year a truck from Litomyšl’s fishmonger stopped at our company with bowls full of fine Czech carps. All of the employees were given one carp for Christmas. Enjoy your meal and Merry Christmas!
Minute of silence

Just one day before Christmas Eve the whole company stopped working and gathered together at 12:00 to commemorate with one-minute silence death of expresident Václav Havel.
General factory meeting

General factory meeting that takes place traditionally once in 6 months at the end of June and at the beginning of December was held 16.12.2011. The session is intended for all the employees of the company with the aim of providing information about the company’s prosperity and future plans. As refreshment we served as usual steaks, potato salad and non-alcoholic beer indeed :-)

Our new printer was born 7. 12. 2011 in Říkovice. His name is Danny Tašner, his weight is 3,4 kg and he is 50 cm. We would like to wish him all the best!

We have been awarded by a certificate of Family friendly company which was given to us by a net of mothers‘ centres in the Pardubice region . We would like to express our gratitude to Mothers‘ Centre in Litomyšl for a nomination into this competition. We will try to do our best next year and we wish so that all the families in our surrounding were happy and lucky. Thanks a lot!
Let’s help the others

Among the institutions which our printing company decided to support financially in the long term is a special school in Litomyšl which is attended by mentally and socially handicapped pupils from the town and its surronding. Nowadays the teachers from special school have been preparing for the pupils a trip to the seaside which was sucessfully organised 6 years ago. Because of the fact that the majority of the children is not able to cover all the expenses connected with the trip, the teachers who are members of civic association Společně dětem decided to ask local companies for financial help. The firms (HRG, STORY DESIGN and Kubík) agreed to help and they came with an original idea of creating a special calendars to gain money for the excursion. Its name is "Těšíme se na moře" and we would like to say thank you to all of you who took part in the action. The aboved mentioned companies bought the calendars for their employees and the money earned from the calendars were used for printing of other 200 calendars which were given free to association Společně dětem operating by the special school. This association has been recently selling the calenders to people who are interested in them , especially parents, fellow citizen, organisations and companies and collected money will be used for covering a part of the trip. We hope that this noble idea will change into reality and that the disabled pupils will have the same opportunities as the children with more luck in their lives.
Economical department with a new secretary

Because of the growth of our printing house, it is important to make our economical department stronger. The business director of our junior team Aleš Bečvář jr. decided to solve the situation. His wife gave a birth to a son Antonín Bečvář who should become a new secretary of our company. The baby, who was born 6. 10. 2011, has 3350 g and he is 51 cm tall.
New cutting machine in size B1

We have just installed a new cutting maschine SL 1060 of the maximal capacity of printing sheet 1070x790. The machine is able to cut material of weight 100 – 2000kg/m2. The highest speed is 8000 turns in an hour. Let’s start with producing covering and light cartonnage on a large scale :-)
H.R.G. party in Prague

We organized a party for our clients as a way of expressing thanks for their cooperation with our company. This action took place in the traditional pub called U Vystřelenýho oka in Žižkov quarter and all the guests were entertained by 2 outstanding music bands. One of them groups called Pendl is from Litomyšl and its outstanding singer Míra Hájek is a director of our business department and banjoplayer Jarda Lněnička is our printer. The second band from Prague is called 100 Zvířat and it is famous for its energetic SKA music. Everybody enjoyed beautiful weather and excellent atmosphere in a small amphitheatre in front of the pub till late at night. Thanks a lot for a nice evening. :-)

H.R.G. Cycling Team took part in Krkonošská 70 MTB

3.9.2011 our cycling team took part in the sport event MTB in Janske Lazne. Our professional sportsmen Jiri Gult, Vaclav Loufek and Miroslav Hajek set out on 40km-long journey leading up to Cerna Hora through demanding terrain full of hills and sharp descents. All of the team members started the race separately in the offset, however, they had to reach the target together. It is not unsual to see sportsman helping other colleague during the journey by pushing or pulling him/her on the rope. It was not the case of our team indeed. They finished the race within outstanding score 3:24:27 which ensured them perfect 8th position in the companies sequence.

New V2 binding line Müller Martini in HRG

Nowadays we have been installing a new fully automated binding line V2PUR and V2(EVA/Hotmelt) made by a Swiss company Müller Martini – type ACORO A5.The machine has a minimal production size 140x100mm and maximal production size 450x320. The speed of this technology is considered to be 5000 pieces of adhesive bindings per hour. The machine is going to start working till the end of September 2011. We are looking forward to your catalogues, publications, magazines and brochures.
New technologist was born

Our new technologist was born during the summer holiday – Matyáš Mlejnek - 50 cm, 3,10 kg. His mother Hanka Dražilová has started immediately with the technological training course of her son. According to the picture, we can see that he really enjoys this acivity.
We have a new female printer

After more than a one-year-break our team has been enlarged by a new female printer specialist – Linda Klusoňová - 48 cm, 2,90 kg. The picture shows her during the daily preparation for a night shift.

24. 6. 2011The first company newspapers Hrgoviny were published in the amount of 300 pieces. The main focus of the news is to inform the employees about the events in the printing house. These news will be published during the factory gathering, which takes place every 6 months – always at the end of June and at the beginning of December. We would like to be opened towards our employees and other business partners. It is very important for us to have well informed staff concerning our prosperity on the market and our future plans. We also hope that its reading will be enjoyable, commented the H.R.G. executive head, Ing. Leoš Tupec.

On the trade fair Svět knihy we had an opportunity to give the first price to a winner in a category "COOKERY-BOOKS". The book comes from Magazine publishing and its name is "S Italem v kuchyni I." The book comes from our production and therefore we are really satisfied!

We took part in the trade fair Print Expo 2011 in Brno during the period 3. 5. - 6. 5. Our "class" was a part of the publishing stand Svět tisku. Herewith we would like to say thanks to Mr Martin Jamrich and his team for his willingness by the realisation of the project. We made arrangements for a new set of drawing cards and we also managed to find new business partners.

For the first time in the history of our company we took part in the trade fair during the days 23. 3. - 25. 3. 2011. Our display stand was designed as a school class where people had an opportunity to write a test testing their printing knowledge. During the test they could use our printing drawing cards indeed:-). The printing drawing cards proved to be a big success and during the exhibition more than 5000 sets were distributed among people.

Calendar of the year 2011

On Monday 24. 3. 2011 we were awarded in the National technical museum in Prague by the second prize in the competition Calendar of the year 2011 in the category "The best printing quality and the whole fabrication". In this competition we were successful with the wall calendar "Skoda cars with the car body Sodomka". The calendar was published in cooperation with the Regional museum Vysoke Myto. This award is another proof that we are really master of the printing craft.

Results of chocobodyprinting

We have just finished evaluating of the photos that you sent us focused on the most interesting chocobodyprinting. The pictures were evaluated by the jury consisted of 6 men and 6 women and everybody could rate the pics with the numbers 1-5. Books like from a fairy tale

In cooperation of the printing house H.R.G with Pardubice University and its Faculty of Restoration – with the atelier of Restauration of paper, bookbinding and documents we made a project where 6 chosen students could try to produce the binding of the book called Litomysl 1259-2009 - the town of culture and education. Every student could produce the book binding in a special and original way and now you can decide if he/she was successful or not.

On Saturday 4.9.2010 the second new-born legendary cycling race in the Giant Mountains took place. The race consisted of 55 three-man groups from the whole Czech Republic and H.R.G. also participated in this action again. Be active and do sport!
There was a Japanese in our pool

The tropical temperatures are over and we do not need the pool in our production hall any more. So the space of the pool was cemented and used as a base under the printing machine. Last week in August we started to install a new Japanese printing machine KOMORI LITHRONE S40 – 4 colours + dispersed dye in the format B1. Try the tradition of Japanese printing by Mr Komori at our place.

Digital print – innovation in HRG

Nowadays we have finished the installation of the historically first digital printing machine in the printing house HRG. We have chosen the technology from the company OCE, type VP 6160 with the system Gemini – one-way duplex print, speed 170 pages, A4, 1/1 1 min., size 203x203 - 320x480, printability of the material 50 – 300gr/m2.

Just today we have produced a new "printing drawing card called Prepress 1". The drawing card focuses on the colourful spaces, mixture of colours, colour distinction, screens and many other things concerning the prepress preparation. You can collect the edition of the drawing cards as inputs in the magazines Font, Typografia, Svět tisku, Typo, Strategie, Marketing& Media or Heidelberg info. However, there is an easier way how to gain them, just become our customer – in this way you will receive the drawing cards during our first visit at your place.

HRG is now FSC

Since August H.R.G. has been since the owner of the certificate FSC, which enables after the fulfilment of all the conditions concerning the purchase of certified paper to produce any printed paper with the licence FSC. The prestigious brand FSC gives the customers guarantee that the wood raw material used for the production comes from the forests which are cultivated in an economical way according to the strict ecological and social rules of the organisation FSC. In this way it is guaranteed that it does not come to the illegal forest mining.
Installation of the new CtP equipment

Nowadays it has come to the installation of the new imagesetter AGFA AVALON N8-52 for the exposure of thermal printing plates, version XT = (speed up to 40 printing plates B1/hour depending on the sensitivity, screening and other factors ) with the automatic feeder ( 3 cassettes for printing plates), intergrated punching and on-line connected call automat ELANTRIX 125 including piler.
- Resolution: 2400 dpi
- Maximum size of printing plate: 1.160 x 940 mm
- Minimal size of printing plate: 450 x 370 mm
- Thickness of printing plate: 0.15 – 0,30 mm
Swimming-pool with relaxation zone in the production hall

Because of the temperature records in the first half of July and increasing requests of our employees we have started to build a new relaxation centre including swimming-pool with counterflow directly in the production hall. XV. year of national tournament of special Olympics in handball took place in the days 11. - 13. 6. 2010. We are proud that we could sponsor this event and please 178 competitors – sportsmen from 21 sports clubs for disabled people around the Czech Republic.

Finally, after more than a 2-month-break it has come to the extension of our junior working team. We have got a new production manager – Tobias Loufek - 52 cm, 3,98 kg. The photo is depicting the manager during the production meeting which was held as a result of the findings of serious mistakes done by his inferiors … or is he only trying to gain attention by his new colleagues? :-)
Fabrication of a new factory building has started

At the beginning of May we have started to build a new factory building which will concur the existing production halls. We would like to shift cutting centre and stocks for waste management into this new building because we need the current premises for a new printing machine which will print in format B1. The new property will be also used in the future as a connecting point for other planned development of our production halls.
We have just published the edition of printing cheat sheets

We have just started to publish in co-operation with Print Media Academy our first edition of printing cheat sheets. The edition started with the cheat sheet "Typography", continues with "Paper" and in the next few days we would like to edit "Prepress", "Press", "Postpress" and so on. Our cheat sheets consist of the most important information for all the people who are in contact with the printing trade. You can gradually collect our edition in the newspapers such as Font, Typografia, Svět tisku,Typo, Strategie, Marketing & Media or Heidelberg info. However, there is also another easier way how to obtain them –to ask for them by letter or to become our customers. In these cases you will receive "cheat sheets set" during our first visit at Your place.

Printing house H.R.G. supports retirements house

The retirements home Drachtinka in Hlinsko offfers the pensioners accommodation, food, nursing care and other support in order to ensure them more comfortable life in a pleasant environment. Recently we have installed desk cutting plotter Aristomat in the format 1300x1700mm. The plotter offers so called digital cut including bigovani beginning from one loading piece. We would also like to offer you the posibility of patterning cut products before their real production for the validity check without the necessity of stamping die production.
Printing of the most beautiful Czech book in 2009

We were pleased to be able to produce this original and magnificient book about our town- „Litomyšl 1259-2009 – the town of culture and education“. The book itself consists of 616 pages and it is printed on the finest voluminous Italian paper. We are much luckier because the book won an award „The prime Czech book of the year 2009“ in the category of technical literature.
