At your request we will create your private folder with special access name and password. Nobody else will have an access into this folder. Your data can be downloaded only into this folder and their location in the file must be stated in the purchase order together with the date of downloading.

Correctly delivered documents

We accept for the pre-press proces the data in the format of composite PDF corresponding to specifications PDF/X-4, PDF/X-3 or PDF/X-1a. The output profile must correspond to the desired printed medium:

  • ISO Coated v2 for paper coated glossy or matt
  • PSO Uncoated_ISO12647_eci for uncoated offset paper

The above stated profiles are possible to download on www.eci.org. The pages should have 3mm bleed and the pageboxes must be defined in a correct way. No printing marks can permeate into the bleed area. All the used fonts must supplied with the document. The pages in PDF must be supplied separately and arranged in the right sequence. The resolution of bitmaps should be chosen according to the density of the printing raster.:

  • 150 lpi – 300 ppi
  • 175 lpi – 320 ppi
  • 200 lpi – 350 ppi
  • line graphic – 1200 ppi

If the pictures have lower resolution, it is neccessary to count with the worse final print quality. Avoid using too strong JPEG compression. If there is no material pattern or sample enclosed to purchase order, please send an electronic version of the pattern to check the right imposition.

Data processing

Our Workflow is regularly tested. During the data processing we respect the overprint settings in PDF, bitmaps are not downsampled in any way. InRIP trapping is aplicated on the data in case it had not been done before in the doument (key trapped is true). The colours independent on the machines are transmitted into the profile of output intention. During the conversion the cleanness of primary colours is kept. Profile with RGB is put to untagged RGB objects. In case of conversion of Pantone colours we use their alternative values defined in PDF. We use regularly printing XM {cross modulation} raster Afga: Sublima which enables us the preservation of shade variety 1-99%. The maximum sheet covering with the ink is 320-350% in dependance on the kind of the printing paper.

Data corrections

In case of wrongly delivered data we will send you an e-mail statement in which we describe what is necessary to do so that the data could be accepted for the correct printing. In case the correction delays, it is neccessary to settle a new date of delivery. We are able to correct delivered data on your request in case there is no possibility to repair them by yourself. The corrected data are sent to you to agreement. It always depends on the type of the order, extent of pages, quality of delivered data as well as time terms for mending in reference to terms of delivery.

  • For corrections in our studio we charge 500 CZK for each working hour.

Digital proofs

We can produce certificated proof for colour check. This print must correspond to the norm ISO 12647-7:2007 which simulates the certain output conditions. We use software GMG ColorProof and the printer Epson Stylus Pro 4880 with the printing roll width 424 mm. The print is measured by spectrofotometer and equipped with a label which defines that the measured deflections are in norm acceptance. A part of the digital print is also Ugra color temperature indicator (strip serving to the checking of the surrounding lightning temperature). When you observe the print under the standard lightning 5000 K, all the fields on the strip are coloured in the same way. If you want to send us your own proof, it has to be certificated with the usage of ICC profile which corresponds to printing conditions. Its part must contain a label with all the imporant information and controlling scale FOGRA Media Wedge CMYK for checking of printing quality. Otherwise we have to consider the print only as an orientational measure.

Plotter prints

After the sheet imposition and data ripping, we can send you the plotter prints to check. It is essential to mention such request in the purchase order together with the data delivery term, term of plotters delivery and address, name of the contact person and phone number where the plotter prints should be sent. The plotter prints can be collected in our subsidiary in Prague in the Bořivoj Street or checked directly in the printing house in Litomyšl. The plotter prints have to be sent back signed and in case of changes on any page it is necessary to send us these pages, mark them as „correction“ and give notice via e-mail to your sales representative or on the email address: obchod@hrg.cz.
